Great straps

Good, heavy webbing with wire inside, good ratcheting mechanism. Really like these straps.

Amazingly secure straps. My only complaint is that I didn't discover these straps earlier.

Purchased these locking straps when I purchased my Hobie PA14. Use it everyday to lock kayak onto trailer first to secure it for transport to the ocean, second to keep thieves from stealing it. Worked like a charm for a month or month and a half then they stopped catching and locking down on the strap. Even after locking you can pull with relatively light force and straps will pull completely out of locking mechanism. Very concerned wind could catch the Hobie and simply pull the straps loose and fly into traffic or a thief will test the locks and figure out they are worthless and there goes my kayak.

I will be emailing Yakima today 8/09/20 and seeing what can be done to solve issue, I already owned a set of cam straps so there was no need to spend $140.00 on these locking or rather non locking ones. More as this plays out.
