I have generally been very happy with this rack - overall it is quite sturdy, easy to use, and very flexible. I am not aware of many other vendors producing a 5 bike rack for hitch receiver install. The "weak link" is the hitch receiver part. I have had my rack for about 3 years now and every year a bend in this solid steel piece becomes a bit more pronounced. Instead of the solid steel part that is adapted to fit the larger receiver, this would be better as a tubular steel part for only the larger receiver; and my assumption is the 5 bike version should not be available if you only have the 1.25" smaller receiver.

But the zip strips are a darned if you do and darned if you don't proposition. On first weekend of use several of the zip strips were lost(?), so now to use for 4 bikes I will have to buy more. They almost have to be removed to be able to load the bikes, which is inconvenient and makes it easy to lose a few along the way. And no extra zipz are provided as part of the original package. There has to be a better way. All in all, though, I would buy again over all the other ones I looked at, including Yakima and its competitors, based on design, ease of installation and removal, firm hold on the bikes, small storage footprint, etc.

There are no negative aspects of this bike rack at all. It is also the nicest looking bike rack on the market in my opinion. The rack is stout and built well. All the necessary locking features are in place when using the handcuff lock that is sold separately. The "Zipstrips" are something that every potential customer should definitely consider. With the "Zipstrips", you are able to replace them easily if broken. If you buy a rack with the bike restraints as a part of the bike rack and they break, they will not be easy to replace.
